Cerebras is a hands-on environment that really values mentorship and collaborative learning. I was paired with mentors who were not only knowledgeable but genuinely approachable. My team made me feel welcome right away and constantly gave me the support needed to tackle my first tasks. During my internship, I had the chance to work on many low-level software optimization projects that directly impact Cerebras’ inference and training products. These varied widely in topics, mostly revolving around optimizing multithreading environments and memory management. I love the work that the internship exposed me to and felt that I was learning something new everyday.

My mentor was helpful in giving me the right resources to onboard as quickly as possible. The work I am doing is still in progress, but so far, I've done a couple of different tasks, ranging from making dashboards in Grafana to creating some model usage reports for Meta, to testing load balancer health. I've learned a lot but still feel like there are so many cool things happening across the company. One of the great experiences I had was getting to tour the datacenter and meet people there who knew so much about the AI and chip industry and learn from them. There is a clear strong work culture, but people are so collaborative and willing to help each other out.
