CEREBRAS COMMUNITY CODE OF CONDUCT

Our Pledge

The Cerebras community is built on a shared belief: that open collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and mutual respect are how the best technology gets built. We pledge to make participation in our community a welcoming, harassment-free experience for everyone. We are a community of builders. We hold each other to a high standard in technology and in how we treat the people we build alongside.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment for our community include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
  • Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and learning from the experience
  • Focusing on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the overall community

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others’ private information, such as a physical or email address, without their explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Enforcement Responsibilities

Cerebras community leaders are responsible for clarifying these standards and taking fair, consistent corrective action when they are violated. Leaders have the authority to remove, edit, or reject contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, including comments, posts, event registrations, and other participation.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies across all Cerebras community spaces, including Cafe Compute events, online forums, Slack channels, social media, and any context where someone is officially representing the Cerebras community.

Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the Cerebras community team at diyi.zhu@cerebras.net. All reports will be reviewed promptly, investigated fairly, and handled with full respect for the privacy and safety of the person reporting.

Enforcement Guidelines

Community leaders will apply the following guidelines when responding to violations:

  1. Correction
Impact: Inappropriate language or behavior that is unwelcoming or unprofessional.
Consequence: A private written warning explaining the violation and why it is inconsistent with our standards. A public apology may be requested.
  2. Warning
Impact: A single incident or pattern of behavior that violates community standards.
Consequence: A formal warning with clear consequences for continued behavior. The individual must avoid interaction with those involved for a defined period. Violations of these terms may result in a temporary or permanent ban.
  3. Temporary Ban
Impact: A serious or sustained violation of community standards.
Consequence: A temporary ban from all community participation and communication for a defined period. No public or private interaction with those involved is permitted during this time. Violations may result in a permanent ban.
  4. Permanent Ban
Impact: A demonstrated pattern of violations, sustained harassment, or aggression or disparagement directed at individuals or groups.
Consequence: A permanent ban from all Cerebras community spaces and events.

The Cerebras community is one of our most valuable assets. We're grateful to every member who helps make it what it is
